MUDRAS FOR SPECIFIC DISEASES

APAAN VAYU MUDRA

When we combine one Pranik Mudra with a TATTVA Mudra of the second category wherein excessive flow of energy is reduced to create a balance, we are able to form even powerful Mudras. The most celebrated and well-known Mudra of this type is APAAN VAYU MUDRA (HEART MUDRA).

This is a combination of APAAN AND VAYU MUDRAS. It is formed by folding the index finger to the tip of the thumb and by joining the tips of middle finger and ring finger to the tip of the thumb, keeping the little finger straight. It is also called MRIT-SANJIVANI-MUDRA.

Benefits

1)      It saves from heart attack. It is both preventive and curative. Anyone suffering from heart disease and blocked cardiac arteries should practice this Mudra regularly to save from the heart attack.

2)      It cures ANGINA PECTORIS.

3)      It cures all heart diseases and C. A. D.

4)      It cures both high and low blood pressures.

5)      It controls palpitation of heart, cures both increased or reduced palpitation.

6)      It strengthens the Nervous system

7)      It is useful in sudden Asthamatic attacks.

8)      It is useful in all types of VAAT diseases produced by excessive air in the body such as gastritis, colic, acidity, heart burn etc.

9)      It is useful in joint pains, arthritis, gout etc. which are due to excessive air in the joints.

10)  It is useful in reducing knee pains. Should be done at least for five to seven minutes before climbing up the stairs.

11)  It is useful in reducing headache and Migraine.

12)  It is useful in toothache.

13)  It cures hiccoughs.

14)  It stops unnecessary blinking of eyes.

15)  It helps digestive system and the circulatory system to work properly, and cures all three Doshas of Ayurveda-VAAT, PITTA & KAFFA.

16)  By removing toxins from the body, it purifies body and mind and removes all negative thoughts.
