SANDHI MUDRA (ARTHRITIS)

The word Sandhi means joint. This Mudra has been successfully designed for joints. This is also a combination of two Mudras-one Mudra by left hand and another by right hand a combination of two Tattva Mudras.

Make PRITHVI MUDRA by right hand and AKASH Mudra by left hand. This is,

Join, tips of Ring finger and Thumb in right hand, and join tips of Middle finger and Thumb in left hand, keeping other fingers straight. This Mudra can be made in converse way also i.e. Prithvi Mudra on left hand and Akash Mudra of right hand.

While Prithvi Mudra removes all vitamin and mineral deficiencies of the body and also imparts strength to bones, ligaments and muscles, Akash Mudra removes calcium deficiencies in particular, and also increases Akash Tattva (SPACE element) in joints; imparting greater flexibility to joint movements.

Benefits

1)      This Mudra relieves all joint pains-whether the pain is in the knees or shoulders or ankles or elbows or fingers or wrists-any part involving the joint.

2)      Those people who have a sedentary job or who have been forced to lie down on doctor’s advice should practice this Mudra, to impart strength to their bones, muscles and joints. Just do it for 10 minutes a day to keep your joints healthy. People suffering from arthritis, gout, etc. should practice it 15 minutes each thrice a day or more.

3)      If this Mudra is supplemented by yogic movements of hands, feet and joints as well as TADASAN daily it will go a long way in keeping your joints healthy. TADASAN involves stretching of hands, feet and whole body either lying on back or while standing; and can be done very easily.
