Sleeping position to get undisturbed sleep and good dreams

The report shows that 40 per cent of people who slept on their left side admitted to having disturbing dreams and nightmares, compared to the 14.6 per cent of those who sleep on the right side of their body. For people with heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), doctors say the left side is best.

Right-side sleepers may experience fewer nightmares than left-side sleepers. Back sleepers also may be more likely to have nightmares—and research indicates they may also have a harder time recalling their dreams. Stomach sleepers, according to studies, experience dreams that are more vivid, intense, and sexual.

Back sleeping is generally considered the best for posture. It can help prevent back pain and neck pain

Nightmares can be triggered by many factors, including: Stress or anxiety. Sometimes the ordinary stresses of daily life, such as a problem at home or school, trigger nightmares. A major change, such as a move or the death of a loved one, can have the same effect.

It's generally recommended to use a pillow if you sleep on your back or side. However, what's most important is that you feel comfortable and pain-free in bed. If you have neck or back pain, or if you have spine condition like scoliosis, sleeping without a pillow may be unsafe.
