VASTU FOR TOILET AND SEPTIC TANK

In the ancient times, toilet was not an integral part of residential Vaastu. Wherever toilet was necessary, it was recommended far away from the main living area. Toilet is full of tamas energy and thus it is best recommended in the west of southwest. In the west of southwest, solar energies are poisonous like a snake due to excess of infrared rays. So this direction is best for poisonous waste and foul matter of human body.

West of southwest corresponds with the eighth house and Scorpio sign in the horoscope of time personified. Scorpio sign is a fixed, watery sign. It represents a scorpion full of poison. The fixed stagnant water becomes poisonous with passage of time. Toilet is the place where we leave the foul poisonous matter of our body as urine and excreta. Eighth house in the horoscope represents death or end of a useful life. It represents the private parts like anus, vagina and penis and the waste matter extracted through these openings. So west of southwest is the best place for the toilet. The infrared rays of sun falling in this direction kill the harmful germs quickly, thus acting as a natural germicide.

Avoid northeast-southwest axis for placement of the toilet. It should never be in northeast, Brahmasthana and southwest.
