As per Feng Shui certain colors are assigned to the eight directions. Those are as below

1)     North: water: black

2)     NE: Earth: Blue

3)     E: Wood: Green

4)     SE: Wood: Purple

5)     S: Fire: Red

6)     SW: Earth: Pink

7)     W: Metal: White

8)     NW: Metal: Grey
