Shakti chakra analysis for a house and for a plot on which building is constructed
Shakti Chakra analysis is a sophisticated Vastu
technique used to map 16 specific directional zones, 32 potential main entrance
locations (Padas), and 45 energy fields (Devtas) on a property layout to analyse,
balance, and maximize cosmic energy
. It is primarily a diagnostic tool utilized to
identify energy blockages (Doshas) in houses or plots, with the goal of
fostering prosperity, health, and harmony.
Shakti Chakra Analysis for a House (Built-up Space)
When applied to an existing house, the Shakti
Chakra aligns the 360-degree layout with cardinal directions to determine if
the rooms and activities are in the appropriate energy zone.
- Brahmasthan Definition: The process begins by pinpointing
the Brahmasthan (exact centre) of the house, which must
be kept open, clean, and free from heavy furniture or toilets.
- Zone Mapping (16 Zones): The house is divided into 16 zones
(e.g., North, North-North-East, North-East, etc.). For instance, a kitchen
in the SE (Agni zone) is considered balanced, while a kitchen in the North
causes financial instability.
- Entrance Analysis (32 Padas): The 32 entrances on the outer
walls are analysed. Only 9 specific padas (3 in each direction except
South, which has 2-3 specific safe zones) are generally considered
auspicious.
- Remedies & Balancing: If a zone is overactive or
underactive (e.g., a toilet in the NE), remedies using colours, metal
strips (copper, brass), or elemental objects (water, fire) are
applied.
Shakti Chakra Analysis for a Plot (with
Building)
For a plot with a constructed building, the
analysis covers both the external plot boundary and the internal building
structure, emphasizing how the building relates to the land.
- Plot Orientation & Shape: A regular shape (square or
rectangular) is ideal. The Shakti Chakra is used to map 16 zones to check
if the building is improperly placed (e.g., in the South-West, which is
good for stability).
- The 81-Pad Vinyasa: Modern, more precise Shakti Chakra
analysis uses an 81-grid (9x9) structure to identify 45 energy fields
(Devtas) in the plot, rather than just 16 zones.
- External vs. Internal Energy: The analysis ensures the plot
slope (East/North-East) matches the internal construction. A building too
high in the NE or too low in the SW is considered a major defect.
- Entrance & Boundary: The main entrance of the plot (gate)
and the main entrance of the house are both analyzed using the Chakra to
ensure they are within positive padas (e.g., E3, E4 for
East-facing).

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Overcomplicating: Attempting to force all Vastu principles,
leading to cluttered, non-functional spaces.
- Misplacing Heavy Objects: Placing heavy storage in the
North-East instead of the South-West, blocking positive energy flow.
- Incorrect Gridding: Using inaccurate or outdated, simple
16-zone grids instead
of the 81-pad (81-grid) method for high precision.
