USE OF COPPER STRIPS IN VASTU FOR CORRECTION IN IRREGULAR SHAPED PLOTS

Copper strips are used in Vastu Shastra as a non-demolition remedy to correct energy imbalances caused by irregular, cut, or extended shapes in a plot or house. They act as "energetic circuits" or virtual boundaries that guide and balance the flow of energy (prana) in spaces that do not follow a square or rectangular shape. 

How Copper Strips Rectify Irregular Plots

  • Sealing Cuts/Extensions: If a plot has an irregular extension or cuts, copper strips are buried or installed along the floor line of the affected area to create a "virtual" boundary, separating the irregular part from the main, harmonious area of the house.
  • Correcting South/Southeast Extensions: For plots with extended areas in the South or South-East (Fire elements), copper strips or copper pyramid strips are used to "cut off" the excess space, minimizing negative consequences.
  • Balancing Missing Corners: In plots with missing corners—specifically in the South or South-East—copper strips are embedded along the wall or floor to "cut off" the defect and restore balance.
  • Virtual Boundary Wall: They can be used to create a virtual security wall across the plot, separating the irregular, negative zone from the usable, positive zone. 

Installation Guidelines for Copper Strips

  • Placement: The strip should be embedded into the floor (by creating a small groove), placed along the skirting, or at the threshold, ensuring it sits flush with the surface.
  • Application: Use a single, continuous piece of copper strip rather than joining multiple pieces together.
  • Sealing: Once placed in the groove, the strip should be secured using white cement or epoxy.
  • Alignment: Install the strips straight and parallel to the existing walls to maintain the geometric integrity of the space. 

Other Tips for Irregular Plots

  • Pyramid Integration: Copper pyramids can be placed on top of the copper strips for enhanced effectiveness.
