USE OF SYMBOLS IN FENG SHUI
Feng Shui
relies heavily on the use of symbolism. Symbols are no doubt powerful means to
enhance one’s personal space and environment but choosing an appropriate symbol
is always not easy. It is essential to choose items which are meaningful to
your personality. Do not try to incorporate alien symbols which have no
relevance or meaning for you. Sometimes, however, a symbol from a different
culture may strike a chord within you. For example, the Chinese consider tortoise
to be a symbol of longevity, the Indians also consider tortoise to be a good
luck symbol as tortoise is one of the sixteen incarnations of the great God
Vishnu. As far as displaying any symbol in the house is concerned be guided by your
own feelings. You yourself are the best judge of what fits with your décor and
with your personal beliefs. Choose a symbol which is appropriate for the
purpose you have in mind. Red roses, for example, are universal symbol of
romance, and you can use them safely to energize your love and romance corner.
