VASTU PADVINYAS
The India
Center: Architecture (Vastu Shastra) The Mandala (architectural plan which
represents the cosmos) is put to use in site planning and architecture through
a process called the Pada Vinyasa. This is a method whereby any site can be divided into
grids/ modules or pada. What
is Pada in Vastu? The site where you intend to build the house should be
divided into nine sections, yielding 9×9=81 squares or rectangles. These 81 rectangles or squares are known as the Vastu Shastra Padas.
Ekaseeti Pada
Vastu is another name for it.
How
to calculate Pada in Vastu for a West facing house?
According to west-facing main door
Vastu,
·
Divide the
home into 9 equal sections, starting in the northwest corner and working your
way to the southwest end, to determine the number of padas.
·
For main
entrances in west-facing house layouts, the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth
padas are the most auspicious since they welcome positivity and pleasant vibes.
·
Keep in
mind that the fifth to ninth Padas are the “prohibited” ones and should never
be utilised as a home’s entryway.
In order to figure out where to design the main
door in an east-facing home, firstly imagine and divide the east length of the house from the northeast corner
(first step/pada) to southeast corner (ninth step/pada) in nine equal parts.
There are mainly 8 padas in the east side of a
vastu. From top to bottom, these are named as – Agni, Jayanta, Indra, Surya, Satya, Bhrisha, Antariksha, Anila. Out of these padas, the Jayanta or Indra Pada
are the two most auspicious positions for placing the main entrance in an east
facing house vastu.
Among 8 Padas,
only 2 Padas: Vithatha,
Gruhakshat are auspicious for the main entrance of your south
facing house vastu. These 2 Pada are believed to bring immense prosperity and
fame to the lives of the inhabitants. Gruhakshat Pada is beneficial for actors
and media persons.
Even in the
north direction, the fifth step or pada is believed to be the most auspicious one, meant to
bring you wealth, because it is the house of lord Kubera. Furthermore, the 3rd,
4th and 8th padas, which are Mukhya, Bhallat and Diti, respectively, are also
considered auspicious.
