Vaastu Shastra facilitate a harmonious relationship between human beings and the environment, which leads to sustainable development. Vaastu also refers to the art and science of arranging objects with the goal of improving the flow of positive energy and preventing negative energy.

Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian system of architecture, has a deep relationship with the environment, aiming to design buildings that harmonize with natural forces like sunlight, wind, and the earth's magnetic field, essentially seeking to create a balanced and positive living space by aligning the building with the surrounding landscape and natural elements.

Vastu emphasizes proper alignment with the cardinal directions, ensuring optimal sunlight exposure and natural ventilation depending on the climate and location. 

·       Natural Light and Ventilation:

The design principles promote maximizing natural light intake through window placement and utilizing cross-ventilation to enhance air circulation. 

·       Material Selection:

Vastu encourages the use of locally sourced, sustainable materials that are considered to be in harmony with the environment. 

·       Water Management:

Proper placement of water bodies like ponds or fountains is important to maintain the flow of positive energy and can also be linked to rainwater harvesting practices.
