ASTROLOGY AND VASTU REMEDIES

Remedies or remedial measures for planets, constellations or nakshatras and Vastu Doshas are popular in Astrology. Their prime purpose is to provide relief from adverse influences and sufferings caused by these planets, constellations or a Vastu driven Dosha in our day-to-day life. These are performed for both malefic and benefic planets positioned in a native’s horoscope to not only reduce sufferings form a malefic planet but also enhance good qualities of a benefic planet.

Why we suffer or need remedies can be understood by an inherent concept in Sanatana Dharma where cycle of birth and rebirth (reincarnation) is believed in, a process which influences every living entity on earth. Every birth incorporates good, bad and neutral karma. Good and the bad deeds (karma) from our present and past birth leads to sufferings or happiness in present life. Fifth and ninth house in our birth chart gives indication of our past life and future birth respectively.

This cycle of birth and rebirth continues until there is a balance of good and bad deeds. Once this is balanced, cycle of birth and rebirth ceases.

Astrology provides insights for the need and significance of the remedial measures. Astrology assists us in understanding of our past deeds and also allows us to forecast future events. Astrology guides us to identify and perform remedial measures to mitigate and address severity of these events in advance, so that we can face them with less severity and suffering.

Remedial measures are classified by applying following parameters to identify which one to perform, how, when and in which direction. These parameters are as below.

·       Element: What type of activity to perform.

·       Direction: represented by each Zodiac or sign.

·       Hora: (Time duration measured in hour): every hour of each day in a week represents hora of a respective planet and each constellation’s lord.

·       Caste: what each planet signifies, which activity they represent.

·       Moola (root, plants or herbs), Jeeva (Animals), Dhatu (Metal or mineral)

·       Ayurvedic Nature: Airy (Vata), Pitta (Fiery), Kapha (Watery)

In addition, more parameters signifying characteristics, nature and representation of each planet can be applied to fine-tune these remedial measures.
