POWERS OF PLANETS

 

Planets can be powerful in six different ways, namely

1)    Sthanbal: (Strength by position): Any Planet which is in its own house, exalted or friendly house, gains strength by its own position.

2)    Digbal: (Strength by direction): Jupiter or Mercury gains strength in the ascendent, i.e. East direction, Venus and Moon gain power by being in the fourth house or North direction, Saturn gains strength in seventh house or West direction, 10th house, or South is the powerful placement for Sun and Mars.

3)    Kaalbal: (Strength by time): For a person born at night Moon, Saturn, Mars is powerful. During the day Sun, Jupiter and Venus are powerful. Mercury is powerful irrespective of day and night.

4)    Naisargikbal: (Natural strength): Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Moon and Sun. These Planets consist of the natural sequence of power in increasing order.

5)    Chestabal: (Strength by effort): Sun and Moon gain strength if they are present in any sign from Capricorn to Gemini. Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn gain strength if they are in conjunction with Moon. Sun and Moon have more strength during summer solstices.

6)    Drigbal: (Strength by aspect): Planet gain strength if they have positive aspect of other auspicious planets.
