The Symbolism of the Platonic Solids

The Platonic Solids are a set of five three-dimensional shapes that are considered the building blocks of the universe in the realm of sacred geometry.

These shapes, named after the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, are the tetrahedron (4 faces), hexahedron or Cube (6 faces), octahedron (8 faces), dodecahedron (12 faces), and icosahedron (20 faces).

Each shape is associated with a specific element, and together, they symbolize the foundational energies that compose the universe and all of creation.

The associations are as follows:
