§
The Sri Yantra: Sacred Geometry Royalty
§ The Symbolism of Sri Yantra
§ The Sri Yantra consists of nine interlocking
triangles surrounded by two circles of lotus petals, all enclosed in a gated
frame called the “bhupura.”
§ The triangles are arranged in such a way that they
form 43 smaller triangles, each with specific meanings and significance.
§ At its core is the Bindu, the central point that
symbolizes the source of all creation and the ultimate reality, representing an
unmanifested state of absolute existence.
§ Nine interlocking triangles that radiate outward
from the Bindu.
§ Five downward-pointing triangles are associated
with the goddess Shakti, embodying the feminine energies. These triangles,
known as ‘water triangles,’ symbolize grace, wisdom, and the receptive,
nurturing aspects of the universe—highlighting the feminine principle of
creation.
§ Contrasting these are four upward-pointing
triangles linked to the god Shiva, representing the masculine energies.
Referred to as ‘fire triangles,’ they express the concepts of ascension,
action, and the active, dynamic forces of manifestation, reflecting the
masculine principle of the universe.
§ The outer circles and the enclosing square
(bhupura) represent the earthly realm with its four gates pointing towards the
cardinal directions, inviting a spiritual journey from the material existence
to the inner core of divine enlightenment.
§ Healing Properties and Uses of the Sri Yantra
§ Activating and Harmonizing Energy Centers
§ The Sri Yantra features ten downward-pointing
triangles that represent the nadis and chakras.
§ Meditation focused on these aspects of the Sri
Yantra can activate and harmonize these energy centers, leading to an
awakening, purification, and significant enhancement of the energetic body.
§ Attracting Abundance and Manifesting Desires
§ The Bindu as a focal point is a powerful catalyst
in the manifestation of desires and the attraction of abundance.
§ By concentrating on the Bindu during meditation,
practitioners can align their personal energy with universal abundance,
effectively setting intentions and manifesting them into reality.
§ Balancing Feminine and Masculine Energies
§ The interlocking triangles of the Sri Yantra embody
the harmonious interplay between the feminine and masculine energies of the
universe, represented by Shakti and Shiva, respectively. This balance is
crucial for maintaining personal and universal harmony.
§ Regular meditation on the Sri Yantra helps to
balance these energies within oneself, promoting a harmonious and productive
life and enhancing relational dynamics.
§ Facilitating a Profound Spiritual Journey
§ The structure of the Sri Yantra symbolizes the
spiritual ascent from the material to the spiritual, from the manifest to the
unmanifest.
§ This journey progresses from the outer square
through the circuits of petals and triangles, culminating at the Bindu.
§ Each layer represents different stages of
consciousness, guiding the practitioner through a transformative spiritual
journey aimed at achieving unity with the divine.
§ The Bindu, as the ultimate goal, symbolizes the
absolute reality, the source from which all creation springs and returns.
§ As one meditates on the Sri Yantra, moving closer
to the central Bindu, you can engage with various aspects of your
consciousness, facilitating a gradual spiritual awakening.
