ACTIVATING AJNA CHAKRA
Meditation to the mantra AUM or Om is one of the best ways to
activate and balance the Ajna Chakra. Not only is AUM or Om extremely relaxing
and calming, but it also provides immense clarity and purpose. The vibrations
of AUM are also so intense that you will immediately feel a difference in your
mental and physical state. If you haven’t tried an AUM meditation class with a
teacher, you must do so soon. It’s one experience you don’t want to miss out
on. You can also try the Third Eye Chakra meditation, which is also very
calming and relaxing.
To activate the Ajna chakra, also known as the
"third eye", you can practice meditation with a focus on the
area between your eyebrows, often accompanied by chanting the mantra
"Om" (AUM), performing specific yoga poses like child's pose, and
visualizing a vibrant colour like indigo in that area while breathing
deeply; this practice aims to stimulate the pineal gland associated with
the third eye chakra.
Key points to remember:
·
Focus
point:
Concentrate your attention on
the space between your eyebrows, where the Ajna chakra is located.
· Mantra chanting:
Repeat the mantra "Om"
(AUM) while meditating to resonate with the energy of the third eye chakra.
· Visualization:
Imagine a bright indigo colour
or a sphere of light in the centre of your forehead.
· Yoga poses:
Certain yoga poses like child's
pose (Balasana) and seated forward bend (Paschimottanasana) can help to open up
the Ajna chakra.
· Deep breathing:
Practice slow, deep breaths
while focusing on your third eye area to enhance energy flow.
Potential benefits of activating
the Ajna chakra:
Improved intuition and inner wisdom, Enhanced
clarity and focus, Greater self-awareness, Increased creativity and
imagination, and Ability to perceive beyond the physical senses.
