Can we surround the Brahmasthanam of my home with stairs?

 

The only direction where the placement of a staircase is not permissible is the Brahmasthan of any given premise, regardless of whether it is a residential or commercial premise.

We are talking of having a Staircase around the Brahmasthan.  The complete Brahmasthan area is banned from having a Staircase. The correct calculation of the Brahmasthan is when you have divided your Vastu / premise into 81 equal divisions and the Brahmasthan is the central Nine divisions.

Most make the folly of considering only a single division right in the center to be the Brahmasthan. Hence, if you are certain that the Staircase is out of bounds of the Nine central divisions then you have nothing to worry about and you can very well have a clockwise Staircase around the Brahmsthan.

It is important at this juncture for me to mention that none of the flights or landing of the Staircase should come in the area of the Brahmasthan. To be on the safer side I personally would advise you not to place a Staircase close to the Brahmasthan itself.
