Is there any remedy in Vastu Shastra for lift in Brahmasthan?

This is a very complex and challenging question. The Brahmasthan is the most sensitive direction when it comes to any kind of weight. A lift being placed in this direction is simply unthinkable. There are only two likely solutions when faced with such a scenario and the same are discussed briefly ahead:

A. The very best of the solutions is simply shift the positioning of the lift to Vastu Shastra desirable direction. I know this is easy said than done. But honestly this is the very best opinion any cutthroat honest Vastu Shastra expert should give first.

alternatively

B. There are specific deposits mentioned in the Brahmasthan area along with the Brahmanabhi which in higher quantum and greater potency if placed should in my limited understanding and experience help in offsetting the extreme seriousness of the lift in this direction.

In case of the deposits, I would like to mention in specific that you should opt for the Vedic deposits rather than go in for some form of modern Yantras which I personally am not convinced off. Off late many a consultant of Vastu Shastra have come up with some kind of alternative remedial measures which have no classical base and are rather funny geometric figures, which are not proven with the passage of time. The Vedic measures have been time tested with around 5,000 years to their credit. You will need to ensure that the person who claims to know these Vedic remedies really knows them and is not taking you for a ride as these remedies have multiple articles / samagiris which are difficult to source.

The Brahmasthan is the central zone of a building and is considered its spiritual core. It symbolizes the heart of the home, where the energy of balance, purity, and creation converges.

According to Vastu Shastra, remedies for Brahmasthan include:

  • Keeping the area open: The Brahmasthan should be free of heavy structures and obstructions.
  • Improving ventilation: The Brahmasthan should be well ventilated.
  • Using lighter colors: Lighter colors like cream, white, pale blue, and yellow can create a sense of serenity.
  • Avoiding bold colors: Bold colors like red or black can obstruct natural light and create a dark mood.
  • Using pyramids: Pyramids can be used to shift the toilet or placed near a pillar.
  • Using a swastika: A copper swastika can be fixed on the four sides of a pillar.
  • Using an octagonal pyramid: Octagonal pyramids can be installed at the base of a pillar.
  • Using a pyramid shift arrow: A pyramid shift arrow can be used on the outer wall of a toilet to virtually shift it.

According to Brahmasthan Vastu, the area should be kept open on the top side so that light rays can enter and magnify the positive vibrations of the area. The area can be transformed into sacred spaces, such as a pooja room or a tulsi plant that can be kept for worship.

A puja room in Brahmasthan is a pooja room located in the holiest part of the home, the center of the house, as per Vastu Shastra.

Where to place a puja room

·       Ground floor

If the home has multiple floors, the puja room should be on the ground floor.

·       Brahmasthan

The center of a large hall is the Brahmasthan and is considered the best place for a puja room.

·       North-east

The north-east direction is considered the most auspicious, as it is the zone of Lord Shiva.

·       East or north

These directions are also considered good for a puja room.

·       Living room or kitchen

If a puja room is not feasible in the house, it can be placed in the living room or kitchen, as long as it is in the north-east direction.

What to keep in a puja room

  • Sacred symbols
  • Idols of deities
  • Fresh flowers
  • Incense
  • Holy scriptures
  • Brass pooja diya
  • Gangajal
  • Tulsi plant

What to avoid in a puja room

  • Placing the puja room in storage space, basement, under the stairs, upper floors, bathroom, or kitchen
  • Placing the puja room in the bedroom facing your feet
  • Placing the idols too close to the wall
  • Placing the idols facing each other
  • Placing footwear or clutter in the puja room
