KAL PURUSH AND VASTU PURUSH

In Vastu Shastra, "Kal Purush" and "Vastu Purush" are both symbolic representations of cosmic beings, but while "Vastu Purush" specifically refers to the divine being whose body is used as a blueprint for designing buildings according to Vastu principles, "Kal Purush" is a more general concept representing the cosmic man associated with time and its cycles, often used in Vedic astrology to understand the influence of time on different aspects of life.

Key differences:

·       Focus:

Vastu Purush is primarily focused on architecture and building design, while Kal Purush is more concerned with the cosmic order of time and its impact on individuals.

·       Representation:

The word "Kalapurusha" can be broken down into two parts: "Kala," meaning time, and "Purusha," meaning person or being. So, Kalapurusha can be translated as "the person of time" or "the cosmic person." In astrology, "Kalpurush" is a term used to refer to the representation of the planetary positions in a horoscope. It is a detailed chart that is used to interpret an individual's personality, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as their potential for success and happiness. The term is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Kaal," meaning time, and "Purush," meaning person. The Kaalpurush Kundli is an imaginary chart or horoscope that represents the cosmic influence of the planets on an individual's life.

In Vastu Shastra, the body of Vastu Purush is depicted as a grid, with different parts of his body corresponding to different areas of a building, whereas Kal Purush is often represented as a diagram with various body parts linked to different time cycle According to Vedic Astrology, a male figure named Kalpurusha is drawn in Kundali. This Kalpurusha depicts all the parts of a human body. The division of human body parts as per Kalpurusha is as follows:

Division of human body parts according to signs in Kalpurusha Kundali.

Aries - Brain

Taurus- Mouth

Gemini - Arms

Cancer- Heart

Lion- Stomach

Virgo- Waist

Libra - Chest

Scorpio- Genitals

Sagittarius- Thighs

Capricorn - Knees

Aquarius- Legs

Pisces- Feet

In this way, human body parts are divided according to signs on Kalpurusha.

A Kaal Purush Kundali is not something you "get" in the sense of generating a personal birth chart; it's a standardized, universal astrological chart representing the cosmic being "Kaal Purush," where each zodiac sign is associated with a specific part of the body, essentially acting as a template for understanding planetary influences across all individuals in Vedic astrology; you can access a Kaal Purush Kundali by simply looking up a chart depicting the zodiac signs with their corresponding body parts, as it's a fixed chart not based on an individual's birth details.

Key points about Kaal Purush Kundali:

·       Universal nature:

Unlike your personal birth chart, the Kaal Purush Kundali is the same for everyone, providing a standard reference point for interpreting planetary placements.

·       Body part associations:

Each zodiac sign is linked to a specific part of the body in the Kaal Purush Kundali, like Aries representing the head, Taurus the neck, Gemini the arms, and so on.

·       Interpretation tool:

Astrologers use the Kaal Purush Kundali to understand the potential influences of planets on different aspects of life based on their placement in relation to these body parts.

·       Standard details:

Always use the standardized birth details mentioned above to generate an accurate Kala Purusha Kundali.

·       Astrological software:

·       Interpretation:

The Kala Purusha Kundali is used as a reference point to understand the archetypal qualities associated with each zodiac sign and house in Vedic astrology, not as a personalized birth chart.

Kaal purush chart is the chart with Aries ascendant in which it was demarcated to be from start of Ashwin nakshtra. You can say it has moved a little. (Surya Siddhanta)

Purush In vedic concepts doesn't refer to male…but to consciousness. Prakruti refers to nature n in terms of solar system — matter.

Prakruti gives matter to build and purush gives life (think organ by organ)

Kaal purush houses map to the real human body from head to two from Aries to Pisces.

What happens when the ascendant moves — the rashi and nakshatra for a different purpose will now be deployed to do a vague responsibility.

Example1:

Sravan nakshtra in 10th house of kaal purush in literal sense is a vishnu nakshtra — asking u to pay attention to the work, being prepared, taking 3 steps etc.

But when it becomes a part of 3rd house …it makes to listen to more communication, absorb more thoughts and take courageous steps. Slightly submissive if good planets are present here.

Example 2:

Hasta in Virgo makes a kaal purush overcome obstacles with creativity in hands.

This hasta in 10th house can make u artist, That hasta in 3rd can make u be a good writer ( earthy planets needed)

Lagna is your physical body, (purusha in 1st house)

Kaal purush lagna is the health of organs in your body (from prakruti aspect)

Sun is your aatma so sun's rashi as ascendant is how ur soul is thinking / progressing

Moon is your manas — so moons ascendant is your minds charts

So, 4th house from lagna means heart in its active state

Cancer (kaal purush 4th house) to show the material construct of heart

4th house from sun — atmas place to stay, house and study

4th house from moon — vehicle, mother and house from feelings perspective.

While there isn't a dedicated "Kal Purush Kundali" app with that exact name, most popular Vedic astrology apps like AstroSage, Kundli by Vedic Rishi, and other astrology apps incorporate the Kal Purush Kundali concept, allowing you to access its features within your individual birth chart analysis, enabling you to compare your planetary placements to the archetypal "ideal" chart represented by the Kal Purush Kundali.
