PREDOMINANT ELEMENT

To determine the predominant element in your birth chart, you need to analyse your birth chart, you need to analyse the signs of your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign, as well as the planets Mercury to Pluto and the Lunar nodes, and see which element (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) has the most placements.

In astrology, lunar nodes are the two points where the Moon's orbital path crosses the ecliptic (the Sun's apparent path) and are called the North Node (ascending node) and South Node (descending node).

Here's a more detailed explanation:

·       What they are:

The lunar nodes are not actual celestial bodies, but rather mathematical points in space where the Moon's orbit intersects the ecliptic.

·       North Node (Ascending Node):

This is the point where the Moon moves into the northern ecliptic hemisphere.

·       South Node (Descending Node):

This is the point where the Moon enters the southern ecliptic hemisphere.

·       Astrological Significance:

·       The lunar nodes are considered karmic points in astrology, representing the evolutionary path of the soul.

·       The North Node is associated with what we are meant to learn and achieve in this lifetime, while the South Node represents our past experiences, comfort zones, and habits.

·       The nodes are also linked to eclipses, as they are the points where the Moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic, leading to solar and lunar eclipses.

·       Movement:

The lunar nodes move backwards (retrograde) along the zodiac, taking about 18-19 years to complete one cycle.

·       Symbols

The North Node is symbolized by a horseshoe, and the South Node is symbolized by an upside-down horseshoe.

Here is a more detailed breakdown

Identify the Elements

·       Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.

·       Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.

·       Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.

·       Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

    Analyse your birth chart.

·       Sun, Moon and your Rising Sign: Note the sign of your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign, as these three are considered the “big three” in atrology.

·       Planets: Note the signs of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

·       Lunar nodes: Note the signs of the North and South nodes.

   Count Placements

·       Count how many of the above placements fall into each element (Fire, Earth, Air, Water)

   Determine Predominance

·       The element with the most placements is considered your predominant element.
