REMEDY FOR STAIRCASE AT BRAHMASTHAN

According to Vastu Shastra, you should avoid placing a staircase in the Brahmasthan, or centre of a house, because it can disrupt the flow of energy. 

Remedy

  • Ensure adequate lighting: Use skylights, windows, or open spaces to allow natural light and air circulation 
  • Use partitions: Create visual separation between the staircase and the rest of the house 
  • Consult a Vastu consultant: A consultant can assess your home's energy dynamics and recommend staircase placement 

Other Vastu tips for staircases:

  • The staircase should ascend in a clockwise direction 
  • The number of steps should be odd 
  • The staircase should not end directly in front of the main entrance 
  • Keep the area under the stairs free from broken furniture, expired goods, and unused junk 
  • Avoid placing garbage bins and cleaning materials under the staircase 

How to find Brahmasthan in your house: 

  1. Check the shape of the plot on a map of the house
  1. Extend the boundary lines to make the plot rectangular or square
  1. Join all the lines of the outer wall.
