BALANCING ELEMNTS IN A HOUSE BY VEDIC VASTU SHASTRA

To balance elements in a house according to Vedic Vastu Shastra, focus on placing the five natural elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) in their designated directions within your home, using appropriate colours, materials, and design elements to create harmony and positive energy flow throughout the space; for instance, placing water features in the north or east, keeping the kitchen in the southeast (fire element), and using heavy furniture in the southwest (earth element). 

Key points to remember:

·       Element placement:

·       Earth (Prithvi): Southwest corner - use heavy furniture, earthy colours like brown and beige.

·       Water (Jal): North and northeast corners - incorporate water features, aquariums, blue colours.

·       Fire (Agni): Southeast corner - place the kitchen stove, use red and orange colours.

·       Air (Vayu): East and northwest corners - open windows, use wind chimes, light colours.

·       Space (Akash): Centre of the house - keep open and clutter-free, use mirrors to enhance space.

·       Colour coordination:

·       Earth: Brown, beige, yellow

·       Water: Blue, green, white

·       Fire: Red, orange, pink

·       Air: Grey, light blue, light green

·       Space: White, pastel shades 

Specific balancing techniques:

·       Kitchen:

Place the stove in the southeast corner, use granite countertops (earth element), and avoid placing the sink directly in front of the stove. 

·       Living room:

Keep the main seating area in the west or southwest, use wooden furniture (earth element), and incorporate a fireplace in the southeast corner (fire element). 

·       Bedroom:

Place the bed in the southwest corner for stability, use soft colours and textures (earth element), and avoid placing the head of the bed directly in line with the door. 

·       Entrance:

Keep the entrance area clean and well-lit, use a bright door colour to welcome positive energy. 

·       Plants:

Incorporate indoor plants to enhance the air element, choose plants suitable for their placement based on Vastu principles.
