Hence it is necessary to have this area open and clearly visible. It is a Marmasthan (centre) of the Vastu.

Since Brahmasthan is a holy place pumps, pillars and rubbish should not be kept. One needs to avoid keeping heavy objects. Powerhouses, generators, lifts and air handling units should not be kept here. Do not keep arches or storerooms in the Brahmasthan zone as per Vastu.

The Brahmasthan is the central zone of a building, considered its spiritual core. According to Vastu Shastra, this area is the seat of Brahma, the creator, and must remain open and free of heavy structures. Balance is possible with metals also. Take a marble piece, place a silver piece over it, and bury in the northeast direction of the house. Similarly – take 100 gm zinc in any shape and bury in north direction of the house on a Thursday – take 200 gm copper and bury in east direction on a Sunday – take 150 kg iron and bury in South direction on a Saturday – take 600 gm bronze and bury in east direction on a Wednesday – take 10 gm silver and bury in northeast on a Monday – take gold as per capacity and bury in the center of the house on a Sunday. Tulsi or Basil plant is also very useful in balancing the defected zone of the house. Tulsi contains mercury that perfectly distorts the harmful energies come out of the earth.
