SOUTHWEST DOOR REMEDY

According to Vastu, a southwest-facing door is considered inauspicious and can invite negative energy into a home. Remedies to mitigate these effects include: 

  • Place a statue or photo of Ganesha: At the entrance to welcome positive energy 
  • Hang a nameplate or Vastu pyramid: To help mitigate negative effects 
  • Install a Hanuman statue: At the entrance 
  • Paste the Gayatri mantra: At the entrance 
  • Create open spaces: In the northeastern zone to help with the constant inflow of positive energy 
  • Store wealth in the southwest: In a cupboard or safe, facing north or north-east 

Other tips

  • Paint the front door yellow, which represents the earth and can help to stabilize chaos around the house 
  • Ideally, the main entrance should face the north, east, or northeast directions 
  • If the main door is in the southwest, it can be helpful to have the main doors and windows located in the east or southeast directions.
