T JUNCTION EFFECTS IN VASTU

The description suggests of a T-junction at the front face of the house. A T-junction usually disintegrates & disturbs the composition of panch tatvas. It depends upon the direction at which it is acting. The first step is to identify the exact centre of the plot, the Brahamsthaan. Then with a correct degree, an accurate angular distribution of directions should be done & then with a correct position of the road the T-junction should be identified. This accuracy is required because the effect of a T-junction changes with every 22.5 degrees. Usually, a T-junction at East direction is harmless & fine.

The “T Junction” is a horrendous error as per the tenets of both Vedic as well as Modern Vastu Shastra. Interestingly, though Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui do not see eye to eye on many instances, this is one of the rare cases where even Feng Shui agrees that regardless of the premise whether it is a residential or commercial premise it should not be afflicted by a “T Joint”.

The “T Junction” is created when a road (public or private) comes straight to your plot and then turns both towards the right and left sides. It virtually creates the shape of the letter “T”, and this is as per the authoritative classical scripture the “Matsya Purana” in Vastu Shastra is termed as “Vithi Shula” where in “Vithi” means Road while “Shula” means an arrow.

This clearly indicates that the road which forms the “T Junction” is injuring the plot and the structure and the occupants living or residing or working in this premise. The intensity of the “T Junction” will depend upon many varying factors like the length of the road, width of the road, slope of the road, traffic on the road, the precise area in which it is hitting the plot, how much of the structure is being hit by the plot, etc. Based on all these parameters the learned and well experienced Vastu Shastra consultant would need to analyse and decipher the gravity of the issue and then work out appropriate solutions for the same.

Some half-baked Vastu Shastra consultants are of the opinion that a “T Junction” in the Northeast direction is regarded to be auspicious and this is utter nonsense. Kindly do not fall prey to such unsubstantiated false propaganda. It is not only the “T Junction” which is considered to be bad but also “Dead Ends”, “L Junctions”, “Y Junctions”, etc. are all bad and negative.

A “T Joint” in the South of the Southeast direction of a plot or a building regardless of whether it is a residential or commercial premise is considered to be highly inauspicious. The “T Joint” is termed as “Vithi Shula” as per the ancient scripture the revered “Matsya Purana”. Here, “Vithi” means road and “Shula” means arrow. Hence, this “T Joint” is likened to a deadly arrow hitting the premise under consideration.

This kind of a feature can lead to accidents, litigations, surgeries, lack of harmony in the inflicted premise, etc. Ideally if you are contemplating to purchase such a property, I would strongly dissuade you from doing so as this is a major Vastu Shastra lacunae.

However, if you have already purchased it then opt for reliable and effective cures on this grave issue. Do not opt for any kind of a “Pyramid theory” solution as this solution in my years of experience does not work. It is a waste of money.

You will need to hire the services of an erudite and seasoned Vastu Shastra consultant who would then guide you on what solutions need to be applied after detail study of the impact of this “T Joint”.

As it’s intensity will need to be comprehended first. This will depend on the size of the road, width of the road, slope of the road, amount of traffic on the road, area of the plot / premise it is inflicting directly, the rooms located in the line of fire, etc. It is not advisable to carry out any blanket solutions without a detailed study of all relevant factors.
