SOURCE AND SINK ENERGY IN VASTU

In Vastu Shastra, "source" and "sink" energies refer to the positive and negative energy flows within a space, particularly in relation to the directions and elements associated with different areas of a home or building. Source directions are where positive energy emanates, while sink directions are where negative energy tends to accumulate.

Source Directions:

Northeast:

Considered a source of positive energy, where minimal or no obstructions should be placed to allow free flow of energy.

East:

Also, a source direction, where openings and open spaces are preferred to maximize positive energy flow.

North:

Another source direction, where it's beneficial to have open spaces and clear paths for positive energy.

Sink Directions:

Southeast:

A sink-sink focal point, where maximum loading and minimum side margins are acceptable for balancing energy-matter.

South:

Can be a sink direction, where it's important to avoid excessive open spaces and clear paths that could lead to negative energy flow.

West:

Another sink direction, where it's important to avoid excessive open spaces and clear paths that could lead to negative energy flow.

Sub-Directions (Marma-Sthan):

Northeast: A source-source focal point, where minimal or no load and maximum side margins lead to ample positive energy flow.

Southeast: A sink-sink focal point, where maximum loading and minimum side margins allow for balancing the energy-matter equation.

Southwest: A sink-source focal point.

Northwest: A source-sink focal point.
