NORTHWEST BATHROOM AS PER VASTU
Having a bathroom in the Northwest (NW) area is
considered one of the best locations according to Vastu Shastra. This direction
is associated with the air element and helps in the natural elimination of
negative energy and waste. It promotes good airflow, reducing dampness.
Vastu Guidelines for a Northwest Bathroom:
- Ideal Placement: Position the bathroom in the Northwest or
West portion of the house.
- Toilet Seat: The toilet seat should ideally face North or
South.
- Water Outlets/Drainage: Water should drain towards the North,
East, or Northeast.
- Interior Fixtures: Place the bathtub and shower in the North,
East, or Northeast zone within the bathroom.
- Ventilation: Ensure the bathroom is well-ventilated with an
exhaust fan or windows to allow energy to circulate.
- Colours: Use light shades for walls such
as white, light grey, or pastel colours.
What to Avoid:
- Avoid placing the toilet seat in the Northeast (NE) corner, as this
can cause severe health and financial issues.
- Avoid placing the bathroom in the centre
(Brahmasthan) of the house.
For managing existing Vastu defects in this area,
specialized advice is often recommended.
