STUDY IN THE SOUTH AS PER VASTU SHASTRA
You can have a study room in the south area of your
home, provided the study table is positioned to ensure you face east,
north, or northeast while studying. While the Northeast is ideal for
memory, the South-West is excellent for skill-based or competitive studies, and
West is also acceptable.
Here are key Vastu tips for a south-facing study
area:
- Optimal Desk Position: Place the desk in the south, southwest,
or west part of the room.
- Facing Direction: The student should face East or
North while studying to ensure maximum focus. Avoid facing directly
towards the south.
- Bookcase Location: Place bookshelves and heavy cupboards along
the Southern or Western walls.
- Room Shape & Structure: Keep the study room in a square or
rectangular shape. Ensure there are no overhead beams above the study
desk.
- Colours: Use light, calming colours such
as yellow, light green, or white to promote concentration.
Important Distinctions:
- Avoid placing the study desk in the South of Southwest (SSW) or
East of Southeast (ESE) zones, as these are often considered unsuitable
for studies.
- Ensure the seating area is organized and
uncluttered to encourage positive energy flow.
