S8 ENTRY TO THE HOUSE

In Vastu Shastra, a South-facing house is divided into 8 pada (energy zones) named S1 to S8. The S8 entry (Papyakshama) is considered highly inauspicious. It is believed to cause legal troubles, severe financial losses, and compel occupants toward unfair or unlawful practices. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Breaking Down the South Entrances

Each pada represents a different energy field, and their Vastu ratings vary significantly: [1, 2]

  • S1 to S2 (Yama & Poosha): Moderately acceptable, bringing some career growth but can lead to occasional health or wealth challenges.
  • S3 to S4 (Vitatha & Grihrakshita): Highly Auspicious. These are the most recommended zones for a South-facing entrance, bringing wealth, prosperity, and fame.
  • S5 to S8 (Yaksha, Gandharva, Bhringraja, & Papyakshama): Inauspicious. These zones (including S8) are generally associated with financial instability, chronic health issues, and mental stress. [1, 2]

What to do if you have an S8 Entrance

If your door falls into the S8 zone, Vastu experts generally recommend either relocating the door (if feasible) or utilizing certain balancing remedies: [1]

  • Structural Adjustments: If possible, shift the main door placement to the S3 or S4 padas.
  • Energy Remedies: Consult a qualified Vastu practitioner who may suggest corrective measures like placing specific crystals, Vastu metal strips (such as copper or lead depending on the exact sector), or sacred symbols at the entrance to block negative energy flows. [1]
