VASTU HELIX
In Vastu Shastra, there isn't just one type of helix. Different metal
helixes correspond to the five natural elements (Panchamahabhutas) and are
placed in specific zones to correct directional or structural defects (Vastu
doshas). [1, 2, 3]
The type of helix used depends on the direction of the defect: [1]
- Copper Helix: Placed in the South-East to
balance and activate the fire element (mitigates defects like a kitchen or
electrical panel in the wrong zone).
- Brass Helix: Placed in the North-West to
balance the air (wind) element (fixes incorrect entrances or extended
corners in this direction).
- Zinc Helix: Placed in the North-East to
balance the water element (corrects corner cuts, misplaced toilets, or
kitchens in the northeast).
- Lead Helix: Placed in the South-West to
ground the earth element and provide foundational stability. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
