Vastu & Ayurveda: The Incredible Connection Between Your House & Health

What is that one most important thing in life that we all strive for?

Is it money? Is it happy relationships ? Or is it peace of mind?

While we all desire to have the best of the above, there is something more important than all of these. And it certainly forms the basis to achieve all of the above.

It is good health and wellbeing of ourselves and our family members.

And you would be surprised to know that your house plays a very important role in deciding whether you stay healthy or not. And in this article we will discuss all about Vastu for health.

So, what is the link between Vastu and health?

As mentioned in the ancient texts of Vastu, your Vastu and health are closely interconnected. Your house is not merely a structure of brick and concrete. It is a living entity vibrating with energy. Every corner of your house governs one organ of your body. If there is an imbalance in any corner of your house, there will be corresponding problem in that particular body organ related to it.

Thus, there is a strong connection between your health and Vastu.

As per the theory of five elements, various directions are governed by the five elements in our house. And as per Ayurveda, these elements also govern the functioning of the various organs in our body.

Like an imbalance of any of the element causes a disease in the body, similarly the imbalance of these very elements causes Vastu doshas in our houses. As a result, diseases follow.

Let’s discuss the role of Vastu and how an incorrect Vastu results in the malfunctioning of the major organs of the body.

LIVER & GALL BLADDER

The Liver is one of the most vital organs in the body. It controls the volume and smooth flow of blood in your vessels and stores the blood. The tendons are the tissue associated with the liver. It should be noted that the strength comes from the tendons, not muscles.

According to Ayurveda, the liver and gall bladder are the organs related to the Air element. The liver is the organ that is most affected by excess stress or emotions. Thus, it is always advisable that whatever you feel, you must express it and certainly never hold it inside!

As per Vastu, the area from the East to the Southeast in your house is the direction of the air element. And thus, this area also governs how your liver and gall bladder function.

The presence of a toilet or a septic tank in this direction can seriously impact the functioning of your liver and gall bladder. Also, the presence of metallic objects or circular shapes can hamper the smooth functioning of the liver. Therefore, one must strictly avoid these.

Emotion associated with Liver: Anger

If you or any of the members in the house are often irritable and constantly angry, you must look for Vastu doshas in the East to South East directions. If you realize that small things stress you out easily and you do not have the quality to let go, your liver is telling you that its function is becoming out of balance.

In your house, it means that there are Vastu imbalances between the East and Southeast directions.
